We care about the community that we serve; and we care about the people who live and work along side us each day, here on Long Island.
We believe that to be your best, and to do your best, you need to feel your best. And we’re doing our part to make it happen.
Since 2012, we’ve been supporting emergency food programs, including local food pantries that are part of the Feeding America network.
The local organizations that we help are instrumental in helping local families achieve self-sufficiency.
One way they do this is by distributing balanced, nutritious food, household goods, and personal care items to those in need - items that many of us take for granted.
48%
of people receiving emergency food assistance on Long Island are the
“working poor” - households that include at least one employed adult.
63%
of the working poor have monthly
incomes below the federal poverty level.
Nearly half report having to choose between paying the rent or utilities and paying for food.
The physical and mental effects of hunger on the working poor range from lack of stamina and increased illness – which increases missed work time – to
feelings of hopelessness and despair.

Team up with Nielsen Associates every year during our holiday and summer food drive. We work with local members of the Feeding America network, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization, providing 4.3 billion meals annually in food banks, soup kitchens, pantries, and shelters across the nation.
Since 2012, we've participated in the Long Island Cares' Harry Chapin Food Bank Annual Summer Food Drive, which is sponsored by the Hauppauge Industrial Association of Long Island (HIA-LI). We've served on the leadership committee and raised over 1500 pounds of food, made monetary donations, and hosted virtual drives that make it easier than ever to donate needed items online.
