"Nielsen Associates was started by a very young woman with four years’ experience in the business: me,"   remarks Renée Nielsen.  The pivotal moment came the day the owner of the Executive Search firm where she worked said, "Kid, you don’t have enough experience to determine if an HR Director is qualified or not." Taken back by his comment, Renée shared the story with her family; together they hatched a plan;  and the rest is history. Culturally and technologically, things have certainly changed since the early days, but Renée says,  "when it comes to recruiting, one thing remains constant: technology cannot replace the human touch."

Dorian understands both sides of Agency and Corporate recruiting because she was a corporate HR practitioner before transitioning to Executive Search.  She says the key to her success is that she’s service-oriented. With our aging workforce retiring daily and the shortages of employees, she offers insight into the competitive landscape and state of the current local employment market.
